Jail / Corrections Division

The Walker County Jail's new facility was opened in August of 1998.  It currently holds 250 inmates and was built in a modular fashion that allows for more units to be added in the future if needed.  The jail has a doctor on site with a nursing staff, one fully equipped kitchen and staff, and one fully operational laundry. The Jail Administrator is Justin White.

When bonding out an inmate, you must bring with you a thirty-five dollar ($35) money order made payable to the "Circuit Clerk".  This fee is required by Alabama law and is separate than any money or property required to make a cash or property bond.
